About the Role
The Engineering Department at AKRF is seeking a Senior Site/Civil Engineer to work in our New York City office. This individual will serve a key function in the design and management of a broad range of land development projects for both our municipal and private sector clients. The potential candidate will have the opportunity to work in an environment of encouragement and collaboration to help AKRF shape the future of New York.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead/support preparation of site/civil engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for projects in NYC and the NYC metropolitan area.
Lead/support project management responsibilities, including managing tasks, schedules, and budgets.
Lead/support construction administration responsibilities, including periodic site visits to active construction sites.
Provide direction, delegation, and training to junior staff.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering.
5-10 years of experience.
NYS PE recommended; applicants with PE Licensure in other states must obtain NYS Licensure within 6-12 months of hire.
Effective communication and coordination with clients and design consultants.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
Experience with NYC permitting process and/or Westchester County approvals.
Compensation
Range from $85k to $115k, commensurate with experience.
