Job Description: Our department develops top-notch, high-fidelity engineering and training simulations for a variety of aircrafts, supporting the entire development lifecycle.We are looking for an experienced experiencedSenior Simulation System Engineer (d/f/m)in context of Eurofighter training simulation.It this role, you will architect a full-spectrum solution for an high-fidelity training system. This includes flight dynamics and avionic models, cockpits, visual systems, control stations, a synthetic environment, etc.You’ll collaborate with other system engineers and lead architects, cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders with military background to deliver a world-class training device for the Eurofighter.Your locationLocated about an hour’s drive north of Munich, Manching is an up-and-coming market town that offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities. Define and architect the software foundation for simulators. Prepare and conduct design reviews with internal and external customers. Support validation, verification, acceptance and certification activities. Provide architectural guidance during entire project lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional and other project specific teams and experts to define the common simulator architecture. Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in system engineering. Conduct trade-off studies and evaluate optimizations, new technologies & tools.Desired skills and qualifications** Bachelor or higher degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, or relevant field.
Master’s degree . 10+ years’ experience in system architecture, focus on military flight training devices . Demonstrated experience across entire system engineering lifecycle for complex systems. Strong proficiency with requirement management and system modelling tools (e.g. Cameo, Enterprise Architect). Expertise in simulation- and military avionic standards and frameworks. Strong foundation in software architecture frameworks (e.g. service-oriented architecture, microservices, layered architecture), and software architecture principles including modularity, scalability, and maintainability. Familiarity with modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps pipelines, containerization). Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and to efficiently collaborate with customers and within cross-functional teams. Being pragmatic and passionate about simulation.This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
