Position

 We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Scientist or Senior Scientist to join our Biotherapeutics team. This is a hands-on, lab-based position ideal for a candidate who thrives on leading from the bench—bringing deep technical expertise and scientific curiosity to the design, optimization, and characterization of novel antibody and protein-based therapeutics, including bispecific and multispecific formats, with an emphasis on therapeutic lead optimization. You will play a key role in advancing biologics from early discovery through lead nomination by integrating protein engineering, biophysical analysis, and functional screening.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer antibody-based therapeutics, including bispecifics, antibody fragments, and Fc variants. 

  • Apply structure- and sequence-based approaches to optimize affinity, specificity, developability, and stability. 

  • Lead antibody optimization efforts to improve potency, manufacturability, and in vivo performance. 

  • Develop and execute biologics characterization workflows. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with your research and development colleagues to advance programs. 

  • Contribute to platform innovation and antibody format exploration. 

  • Present findings to internal stakeholders and contribute to IND-enabling documentation. 

  • Maintain meticulous records and contribute to patent filings and publications.
     

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in relevant discipline with at least 3 years of post-grad experience in antibody discovery and engineering, ideally in industry setting  

  • Demonstrated expertise in antibody engineering and protein design 

  • Proven track record in advancing biologics through lead optimization and/or IND nomination 

  • Experience with bispecific antibodies and format screening 

  • Proficient in screening molecular interactions, such as by ELISA, flow, and/or BLI/SPR 

  • Knowledgeable in antibody sequence and structure to guide molecular evolution  

  • Hands-on experience with mammalian expression systems, protein purification, and biophysical assays 

  • Familiarity with AI/ML-assisted protein engineering workflows is a plus. 

  • Excellent communication skills, attention to details and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

 
Expected Salary Range: $142,000 - $158,000
