Senior SATCOM Systems Engineer

Our client, a global organisation, urgently require an experienced SATCOM Engineer to join their department on a permanent basis.



In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:



Extensive background within military SATCOM systems

Knowledge of system design, ground segment design, satellite operations, and payload engineering

Understanding of RF engineering, waveform design, antenna design, propagation, link analysis, satellite network protocols, and air interfaces

SC Cleared



Within this role, you will be responsible for:



Manage a variety of communications systems engineering tasks on advanced communications networks and related services

Lead and manage technical projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams

Design and layout communications systems, including network architecture and link budgets, ensuring compliance with industry standards

Apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE) for ground segment and/or communications payloads

Conduct system-level analysis, performance assessments to enhance communication capabilities; troubleshoot system issues and perform data analysis and reporting

Support design, develop, and prepare validation, verification, and testing (VV&T) strategies and plans; specify environments, facilities, and equipment for testing complex satellite networks
