The expected salary range is between $116,100 and $129,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary

As a Senior Reactor Operator in training, you will gain hands-on experience in a combination of classroom instruction, simulator training, and on-the-job learning. Upon successful completion of the training, you will hold an NRC License to oversee operations in the reactor control room, guiding Reactor Operators and Equipment Operators in all aspects of plant operations.

Complete the necessary training to attain your SRO license, including fundamentals and simulator certification.

Utilize study time and field experience to progress toward licensed status.

Participate in project work, outage assignments, and other duties that support overall site operations.

Job Responsibilities

Authorize maintenance and testing activities to maintain equipment status.

Implement Emergency Operating Procedures to stabilize the plant during abnormal conditions.

Evaluate and respond to internal and external organizational requests and findings.

Oversee special operational projects assigned by Operations Management.

Create and revise emergency procedures to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.

Review design changes and assess procedure impacts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Support outage operations and emergency situations with operability reviews for systems.

Facilitate the preparation for refueling operations and ensure systems are ready for shutdown activities.

Lead operating shift personnel, standing watch on rotating 12-hour shifts and coordinating plant systems operation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent

Pass pre-employment tests including Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) and Basic Math and Science Test (BMST)

Complete a FLS Leadership Assessment

Meet qualifications through licensure or relevant experience in reactor operation or supervisory roles

Hold a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, engineering technology, or physical sciences, or relevant certifications with experience in operations or management, as stipulated by the role's requirements.
