Irvine, CA (Hybrid – On-site required for training and assessment)
Spec 3, R&D Project Management

Payrate: 49.45 an hour

Position Overview:

As a Senior Analyst, Project Management on the BD APM PMO Team, you will lead new product development projects for Hemodynamic Monitoring products and related accessories through all phases – from initiation to commercialization. This includes planning, budgeting, executing, and ensuring cross-functional alignment for successful product launches in compliance with medical device regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medium to large-scale projects, ensuring strict adherence to BD’s quality systems and design control processes.
• Facilitate business case development and resource prioritization across projects.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans; manage scope, risks, and communications.
• Lead core team meetings, improve project execution, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Act as a subject matter expert in program management, mentoring peers and driving best practices.
• Foster strong team collaboration with emotional intelligence and transparency.
• Build a culture of urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required – Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Biomedical, Systems, Electrical).
• 4+ years recent experience managing new product development projects in the medical device industry (not pharma).
• Strong understanding of Medical Device R&D, Regulatory Compliance, and Product Lifecycle Management.
• Experience in Manufacturing, including rebranding, tooling, and product branding.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and project management software.
