Job Description
We are currently partnering with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Kent, who are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client are specialists in Designing, Costing and Managing Construction projects over a wide variety of sectors and clients across the South-East of England.
This is a full-time position with a salary range of £50,000 to £70,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing both pre and post contract services, including budget estimates, measurements, valuing works on site and agreeing final account
- Acting on behalf of the employer, issuing payment notices, instructions, requests and statements
- Producing appropriate tender documentation to secure a robust response including reviewing design information, confirming tender lists and responding to queries
- Undertaking post contract administration duties including issuing all necessary instructions and certificates and processing interim payment applications
- Producing cost plans, feasibilities and optioneering & developing the cost management strategy and delivery
Experience required:
- Ideally be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- Previous experience on a variety of public sector works ranging from £500,000 to £30,000,000
- Be able to demonstrate significant experience working within the Construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor for over 8 years
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Be well organised, efficient, using initiative and working to tight deadlines
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
