We’re on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Structures team on the A417 Missing Link at Air Balloon project in beautiful Gloucestershire. This is an incredible opportunity to make a significant impact on a high-profile highways project while contributing to our commercial function.

Location: A417 Missing Link at Air Balloon, Gloucestershire – Enjoy the flexibility of remote working alongside office visits.
Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week – We offer flexibility, so let us know your preferences during our conversation.
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per year + private healthcare + £5,900 annual car allowance + excellent benefits.

Your Responsibilities\n

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing costs, maximizing value, and ensuring top-notch quality and safety throughout the contract. Your daily tasks will include:

• Managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract control.

\n

• Overseeing change control with subcontractors in line with NEC4 procedures.

\n

• Minimizing the risk of disallowed costs from the client.

\n

• Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks while implementing Kier's risk management policies.

\n

• Maximizing cash flow through the control, measurement, and valuation of work, including invoicing and supplier payments.

\n

• Valuing work executed by subcontractors and certifying interim and final payments.

\n

What We’re Looking For\n

This role is perfect for someone who possesses:

• Experience in a similar role within the highways sector.

\n

• A relevant qualification, such as a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying.

\n

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships.

\n

• Confidence in using MS Office, particularly Excel, and other IT systems.

\n

• Excellent organization and time management skills, with the flexibility to travel when required.

\n
