The Opportunity

A strong opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional building contractor in Gloucester. This role offers the chance to work on a varied portfolio of projects, take real ownership commercially and progress within a stable, growing business.

You’ll be joining a contractor known for delivering quality schemes across multiple sectors, with a strong pipeline of secured work and long-term repeat clients.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:

• Managing the commercial delivery of construction projects.
• Preparing and maintaining project budgets and cost plans.
• Procuring subcontractors and managing the supply chain.
• Producing CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.
• Managing valuations, variations and payment applications.
• Supporting final accounts and project close-out.
• Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity.
• Working closely with operational and site teams.

About You

• Experience as a QS or Senior QS within a main contractor environment.
• Background in general build or regional contracting .
• Strong understanding of commercial processes and contract administration.
• Confident communicator with site and senior management teams.
• Commercially astute and organised.
• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience.
