Job Description

Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in façade packages, cladding systems, or external envelope works? This opportunity offers the chance to join a respected contractor delivering a diverse range of residential, healthcare, and community-led regeneration projects across London and the Southeast. With several major schemes entering key delivery phases, the need for a commercially sharp QS with specialist façade experience has never been greater.\n\nIn this role, you’ll take ownership of complex external envelope packages—ranging from traditional brick façades to high-performance rainscreen systems—while working closely with project leadership to ensure quality, cost control, and programme alignment are maintained throughout.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Lead the commercial management of façade and external envelope packages from procurement through to final accounts.\n\n * \n\n Prepare detailed cost plans, tender documentation, and subcontract evaluations with a focus on value engineering and risk mitigation.\n\n * \n\n Manage change control processes, variations, and commercial reporting with accuracy and clarity.\n\n * \n\n Liaise closely with design teams, façade engineers, and site management to ensure technical compliance and smooth delivery.\n\n * \n\n Build and maintain strong relationships with specialist subcontractors and supply-chain partners.\n\n * \n\n Provide guidance and mentorship to junior commercial staff where required.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within main contracting or specialist façade subcontracting.\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of cladding, curtain walling, rainscreen systems, and associated compliance requirements.\n\n * \n\n Solid contractual knowledge, ideally with experience in NEC or JCT forms.\n\n * \n\n Ability to manage multiple work packages concurrently while maintaining high commercial standards.\n\n * \n\n Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.\n\n * \n\n Proactive, detail-driven, and capable of working autonomously within a supportive team environment.\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary package with excellent benefits.\n\n * \n\n The opportunity to play a central commercial role on large-scale, community-focused developments.\n\n * \n\n Long-term career prospects within a company committed to quality delivery and internal progression.\n\n * \n\n A collaborative culture where your specialist expertise is valued and recognised.\n\nIf you’re an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a passion for façade delivery and you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely influence project outcomes, I’d be delighted to discuss this position further
