Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: London / South East

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum

Sector: Specialist Fit-Out / Subcontractor

 

Overview

A reputable and expanding subcontractor delivering complex fit-out and joinery projects is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of major contracts. This is a key hire offering real responsibility and progression into senior leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities



Lead financial management for multiple projects from tender to completion.

Oversee procurement, valuations, and monthly cost reporting.

Negotiate and agree subcontractor accounts and variations.

Ensure accurate forecasting and margin protection.

Manage client relationships, providing commercial insight and advice.

Mentor and develop junior members of the commercial team. About You



Proven experience in a subcontractor or specialist trade contractor environment.

Confident handling projects of £1m-£10m in value.

Excellent negotiation, reporting, and communication skills.

Strong understanding of contract law and commercial risk. Why Join?
