With a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking and dynamic team.\n\nYour new role\n\nOur client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and financial aspects of projects within the drylining and fire protection sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the budgeting, cost control, procurement, and contract management of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong industry experience to take on a leadership role and work within a growing company that values expertise and innovation.\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n\nManaging the day-to-day commercial aspects of multiple drylining and fire protection projects.\n\nPreparing and reviewing tender submissions and cost estimates.\n\nUndertaking cost planning, forecasting, and budgeting.\n\nManaging subcontractor relationships and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.\n\nConducting site visits and attending project meetings to monitor progress.\n\nReviewing and negotiating contracts and variations.\n\nPreparing and submitting monthly cost reports and valuations.\n\nEnsuring health and safety standards and regulations are met on site.\n\nMentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial team.\n\nResolving any contractual or commercial disputes in collaboration with the project team.\n\nWhat you will need to succeed:\n\nA minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within the drylining and fire protection sectors.\n\nProven experience managing commercial aspects of projects, including cost planning, procurement, and contract management.\n\nStrong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.) and industry standards.\n\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills.\n\nAbility to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nStrong IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office and estimating software.\n\nA relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS or CIOB membership) is but not essential.\n\nA strong understanding of fire protection and drylining systems and their associated costs.\n\nExperience in managing both site and office-based commercial teams.\n\nWhat you get in return:\n\nCompetitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000, depending on experience.\n\nAttractive benefits package, including a car allowance, pension, and healthcare.\n\nOpportunities for career development and professional growth.\n\nA dynamic and supportive working environment with a clear focus on quality and safety.\n\nThe chance to work on high-profile projects within the drylining and fire protection sectors.\n\nA company that values work-life balance and employee well-being.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to make their mark within a respected and growing company.
