Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering
Location: Peterborough (Thorpe Wood Area)
Salary: £60,000–£68,000 per annum
Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering and infrastructure delivery programme. This role provides commercial support across large-scale projects, ensuring cost control, value optimisation, and compliance with project governance.
The successful candidate will manage project costs, provide accurate reporting, oversee subcontract procurement, and support site teams in delivering projects on time and budget. Projects include water, transport, built environment, and energy schemes, with an emphasis on civil engineering and utilities delivery.
Key responsibilities include:

    Full commercial and cost management of projects.
  * 
    Accurate and timely reporting of costs, cash flow, and forecasts.
  * 
    Subcontractor procurement, management, and contract compliance.
  * 
    Support delivery teams with cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
  * 
    Ensure records and final accounts are maintained for audits.
  * 
    Identify opportunities for commercial improvement across projects.
Essential:
  * 
    Extensive experience managing costs on civil engineering projects.
  * 
    Knowledge of commercial processes, reporting, and contract compliance.
Desirable:
  * 
    Degree or HND in relevant discipline.
  * 
    Experience in utilities or heavy civil engineering delivery programmes.
