With offices nationwide and a strong presence across the Midlands, they support a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients in residential, commercial, education, and regeneration projects.\n\nRenowned for their collaborative culture and commitment to quality, my client combines technical excellence with a proactive, client-focused approach — providing innovative and sustainable solutions across all stages of the construction process.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nMy client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Birmingham office. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious professional to play a leading role in the delivery of cost consultancy and project management services on a range of high-profile developments.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n * Managing all aspects of pre- and post-contract cost management, including cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.\n\n * Preparing detailed cost estimates, tender documentation, and bills of quantities.\n\n * Leading value engineering and risk management exercises.\n\n * Administering contracts and managing change control throughout the project lifecycle.\n\n * Delivering accurate cost reporting and financial analysis to clients.\n\n * Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships.\n\n * Mentoring and guiding junior members of the cost consultancy team.\n\nAbout the Requirements\n\nThe ideal candidate will be:\n\n * MRICS qualified (or working towards chartership with significant relevant experience).\n\n * Experienced in both pre- and post-contract cost management across multiple sectors.\n\n * Commercially astute with strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.\n\n * Confident working independently, managing projects, and engaging with clients.\n\n * Excellent communicator with well-developed negotiation and report-writing skills.\n\n * Motivated, proactive, and able to contribute to a collaborative team environment.\n\nAbout the Salary\n\nMy client offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, along with hybrid working arrangements and clear opportunities for career progression.
