Job DescriptionDescription
As a\nSenior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor, you will support the\nCommercial Manager; helping to drive efficiencies; managing costs\nand regional performance for our clients. This role will see you\ntake control of all financial aspects of the project; overseeing\nall commercial & contractual matters. You will deliver desired\nmargin return utilising high standards of commercial acumen. Whilst\nidentifying, recording and tracking, both risks and\nopportunities.

Key\nResponsibilities

• Manage\nand monitor project costs including weekly P&L\nreporting
• Review contract documents and advise\non any issues
• Track the progress and cash flow\nforecast information
• Produce and review\ncommercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs) and Project\nFinance Reports
• Take responsibility for\nSubcontract Management; including Subcontract Forecasting, raising\nSubcontractor Orders and Negotiating Subcontract terms

• Prepare subcontract documents, enquiries and assessment\nof quotations
• Place subcontract orders,\nagreement and certification of subcontract valuations, invoice,\nsubcontract payments and final account agreements

\n

• Be responsible for the management of the change control\nprocess, risk and value management
• Manage and\ntrack project changes, variations and/or notices

\n

• Assess and value variations and compensation\nevents
• Prepare and submit interim valuations\nand payment applications to clients, along with the agreement of\nfinal accounts
• Attend risk review, progress\nand commercial meetings on-site with the Client

\n

• Be actively involved with tenders and pricing

\n

• Assist Credit Control with cash recovery and\nforecasting
• Support the operational team in\ndaily commercial and contractual aspects

Experience and\nQualifications

• Degree\nqualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) is desirable but not\nessential
• Ideally you will have experience\nworking in the Utilities industry  
• Sound\nknowledge of contracts – NEC
• Ability\nto prioritise workload, multi-task and work under tight time\npressures
• Excellent communication\nskills 
• High attention to\ndetail 
• Logical mind
