Job Title Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location Basingstoke, England

Salary £65 000 - 70 000 per annum plus car/allowance and package

Introduction

We're on the lookout for a dynamic, strategic, and charismatic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. If you're someone who makes smart, data-driven decisions, has a sharp eye for detail, and knows how to juggle priorities like a pro, this could be the perfect fit.

What will I be doing?

• Keep projects financially on track by managing subcontractor accounts, reviewing contracts, and making sure valuations are spot on each week.
• Support the Commercial Manager and lead the commercial team, helping to drive performance and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
• Handle client issues with confidence, from resolving disputes to conducting internal audits that keep our processes sharp.
• Stay on top of risks by maintaining the commercial risk register and ensuring potential issues are flagged early.
• Dig into the numbers from cost analysis to CVRs and find smart ways to reduce costs and boost value across all projects.

What do I need to succeed?

We're after an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial awareness, problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to manage complex subcontract orders and risk. You're a clear communicator, confident leader, and relationship-builder both with clients and your team. If you're great with Excel, skilled at getting key messages across, and hold a degree (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying, we'd love to hear from you.
