Due to continued growth, they're now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of a key project - ensuring financial control, contract compliance, and project profitability.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll manage all commercial and contractual aspects of civil engineering works, from cost forecasting and reporting to subcontract management and risk mitigation. You'll play a key role in driving commercial performance and supporting delivery teams to achieve project and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and administer NEC3 contracts, ideally with Option C / Target Cost experience
Maintain a detailed understanding of Schedule of Cost Components and Disallowed Costs
Produce accurate cost forecasts, CVRs, and cost-to-complete reports
Track labour, plant, and material expenditure and challenge delivery teams to ensure efficiency
Lead cost control, procurement, and change management processes
Support internal and external reporting, including CVCR and bottom-up forecasting
Mentor junior staff and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
About You:
You'll hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, with at least five years' experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects. You'll be confident working under NEC3 contracts, proficient in Excel, and comfortable managing large data sets. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to influence delivery teams are essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing contractor, taking ownership of major civil engineering projects across London and the South East.
