Senior Quantity Surveyor – Oxford (Site-Based)\n\nSalary: £75,000–£90,000 + £6,500 Car Allowance\nLocation: Oxford (on-site until June 2026), then Birmingham-based projects\nSector: High-rise student accommodation\nType: Permanent, Full-Time\n\nA leading main contractor is seeking a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of a live high-rise student accommodation scheme in Oxford. This is a site-based role through to project completion in June 2026, after which all future schemes will be delivered across the Birmingham region.\n\nYou’ll be joining a forward-thinking team with a strong pipeline of multi-room developments, where your expertise in cost control, subcontractor management, and commercial strategy will be key to driving value and ensuring delivery.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\nLead the commercial function on a live high-rise scheme from site\nManage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments\nOversee cost reporting, forecasting, and change control\nCollaborate closely with site and design teams to ensure commercial alignment\nContribute to project reviews and drive margin protectionWhat We’re Looking For\n\nProven experience as a Senior QS on high-rise RC frame projects\nStrong understanding of student accommodation or multi-room schemes\nConfident managing commercial delivery from site\nNEC contract experience \nWillingness to work on-site in Oxford until mid-2026, then transition to Birmingham-based workWhat’s On Offer\n\nCompetitive salary \n£6,500 car allowance\nLong-term pipeline of Midlands-based projects\nSupportive team culture with real autonomyIf you’re ready to lead from the front and bring your commercial expertise to a high-impact scheme, we’d love to hear from you
