About the Role



We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor with proven experience working on Department for Education (DfE) projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor or consultancy delivering high-quality educational builds across the UK.



You'll play a pivotal role in managing costs, contracts, and commercial performance across multiple school and university projects, ensuring compliance with DfE frameworks and standards.

Lead commercial management of education sector projects from inception to completion

Ensure compliance with DfE procurement and cost benchmarking guidelines

Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost plans

Negotiate contracts and manage subcontractor relationships

Provide accurate reporting and risk management

Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and clientsRequirements for a Senior Quantity Surveyor



Minimum 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, with at least 2 years on DfE-funded projects

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

MRICS or working towards chartership

Strong understanding of public sector procurement and DfE frameworks
