The Opportunity

Due to increased expansion, our client, a tier 1 contractor, are looking to expand their commercial team on a project in the beautiful area of North Wales.



Your duties and responsibilities will be

To take supervised responsibility for the commercial function on a project or section of a project

To contribute to a result as agreed with local commercial management

To protect the company’s position throughout 360-degree relationships

To carry out commercial tasks and present results in an orderly and accurate format

Proactively contributes to the commercial success of the project and thus the business

Prepare applications and reports

Review incoming accounts and correspondence and react accordingly

Manage specified subcontract accounts and support senior commercial staff in negotiations

Agree a personal development plan and deliver the objectives

Contribute to the development of subordinates

Carry out duties for collaborative working in line with the Procedure for Collaborative Working and the JRMP (Joint Relationship Management Plan)

Any other duties consistent with your status and seniority, as necessary to meet the needs of the Business of the Company.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

Experience working with NEC contracts on a heavy civil engineering project

A detailed understanding of the general and specific contract and subcontract terms

A knowledge of the techniques and processes involved in delivering the works

It’s great if you also have the following

Previous Grid Experience

Experience working with tunnelling or high voltage cabling
