Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 + comprehensive benefits package

Overview

ICDS Group are working with a leading main contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a large-scale data centre project in Slough. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full commercial lifecycle of the project, from procurement through to final accounts.
• Prepare and review cost plans, budgets, and financial reports.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management.
• Handle valuations, variations, and claims in line with project requirements.
• Ensure accurate forecasting, cashflow, and financial control across the project.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure delivery within budget and programme.
• Contribute to risk management and value engineering exercises to maximise project profitability.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with experience at Senior QS level.
• Previous experience on data centres, pharma, hi-tech facilities, or other mission-critical projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and deliver results to tight deadlines.
