The leading Main Contractor seeks to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a freelance basis. Immediate Start

Senior Quantity Surveyor – 6-Month Contract ️ 
Location:Base office Glasgow or Stirling 
Sector:Main Contracting – Residential Housing
 Start Date:ASAP 
Rate:Competitive Day Rate with opportunity to work outside IR35We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in main contracting and hands-on experience managing groundwork packages on housing projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage groundwork and civil packages through to final account.
• Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
• Prepare and manage interim valuations, variations, and cost reports.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and internal procedures.
• Provide commercial support throughout the construction lifecycle.


✅ Requirements:


• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior QS in a main contracting environment.
• Strong knowledge of groundwork and residential housing projects.
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Proficient in cost reporting and valuation techniques.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.


This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to start a 6-month contract with a reputable main contractor immediately.
