Job Summary

Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Supervisor responsible for leading inspection operations, NDT processes, and quality compliance. This role focuses on team leadership, aerospace quality standards (AS/ISO), and continuous improvement across inspection and production functions.

Key Responsibilities (Mobile-Friendly)

• Supervise inspection and NDT operations (X-ray, FPI, Ultrasonic)
• Coordinate daily inspection workload and resource allocation
• Review shop traveler and document control processes
• Ensure employee certifications and training compliance
• Lead cross-training and team development initiatives
• Evaluate team performance and support promotions
• Maintain compliance with QSM, RSM, and AS/ISO standards
• Act as Management Representative for quality compliance
• Drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance

Skills

• FAA Part 145 / 21 experience – 1+ year
• FAA Repairman eligibility –
• NDT Level I/II certification –
• Metallurgical lab / calibration exposure – 1+ year
• Lean manufacturing – 1+ year

Technical / Functional Exposure

• Inspection & quality systems – 5+ years
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) – 2+ years
• Aerospace compliance (AS/ISO, FAA) – 2+ years
• Root cause & corrective action – 2+ years
• Team leadership & performance management – 2+ years

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 5–8+ years of aerospace / quality experience
• Prior supervisory experience required
