Senior Project Software Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Project Software Engineer, someone who specialises in real time computing solutions. With a couple of UK offices this would suit someone keen to work from either a Manchester or Middlesbrough office.\n\nThe work will be varied and every project a new and exciting, giving opportunity to use and develop different skills, both at a technical level and at a softer project execution interpersonal level.\n\nYou will be involved in the design and implementation of a wide range of systems to improve the performance of Life Science, Chemical and Manufacturing and processing companies including control systems, plant management information systems, manufacturing execution systems, track and trace systems and OEE systems to name but a few.\n\nOther responsibilities:\n\n * Control systems fault-finding\n\n * Preparation of design specifications and reports\n\n * Software programming\n\n * Project execution, testing, installation and commissioning\n\n * Provide technical support and consultancy to users internally and externally\n\n * Support successful completion of projects on time, to budget and in line with company quality expectations\n\n * The Senior Project Software Engineer will be involved in all aspects of projects from the initial requirements’ gathering, proposal production and the specification through to the design, development and installation of the solutions.\n\nSkills & Experience:\n\n * 5+ years exp of real time computing and management information system\n\n * Experience working in regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Chemical Manufacturing or Power and Energy is highly desirable\n\n * Ability and willingness to adapt to new software systems\n\n * Driving Licence
