Job Description

Our client is fully integrated environmental construction company delivering and implementing turnkey self-perform construction solutions to environmental challenges in soil, vapor, air and water (groundwater, stormwater, water/wastewater). They serve both public and private-sector clients with diversified service lines that include soil and groundwater remediation, decommissioning/demolition, sensitive habitat/waterway restoration, and water/wastewater/air pollution treatment.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer preconstruction efforts, including job setup, subcontracting, vendor buyouts, scheduling, submittals, and plan writing.
  • Lead estimator-to-project manager handoff meetings and manage project scope, budget, critical path, and dependencies in alignment with SOPs and workflow processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing project information, ensuring proper distribution and centralized filing for team members and sub-consultants.
  • Track project-specific costs, prepare change order estimates, and submit monthly pay applications in accordance with project scope changes and budget management.
  • Supervise and mentor project teams and field staff, including Superintendents and Foremen, to ensure accountability and successful project execution.
  • Foster business relationships, conduct project postmortems with recommendation reports, and execute tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment using project management tools.


Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field desirable.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of direct work experience in a project management capacity on heavy civil project.
  • Experience in environmental remediation projects.
  • 40-Hr HAZWOPER or 8-Hr HAZWOPER Refresher is desirable, or training will be provided.
  • Ability to travel within Northern California
