POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Project Manager Level 1 will manage end-to-end project delivery for the IT-AMS 2.0 platform. This role is responsible for ensuring the project is executed within scope, on schedule, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will also oversee resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, or related field

• 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in federal IT projects

• Strong experience in managing large scale projects and being within budget

• Experience working with diverse stakeholders

CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:

PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant certifications

Desired:

Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Required:

• Lead project planning and execution to ensure on time delivery of project milestones

• Track and report on project performance based on project scope, timeline and budget

• Ensure effective communication with stakeholders

• Facilitate coordination with cross functional teams

• Develop and maintain project documentation

SKILLS:

Required:

• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written

• Familiarity with federal IT processes (ex. ATO and cybersecurity)

• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met
