Job Title:
Senior Project Manager
As a senior project manager, you will lead complex heavy civil projects throughout all phases from preconstruction through final delivery. You'll drive schedule, budget, safety, and client satisfaction while mentoring the next generation of builders.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to meet project goals.
Partnering with clients, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers to align on scope, timeline, and costs.
Monitoring costs and maximizing financial performance through forecasting and change management.
Managing change order processes and negotiating pay quantities with clients.
Leading project meetings, tracking deliverables, and supporting field execution.
Ensuring a safe, respectful, and productive work environment.
Developing and mentoring your project team to enhance their technical and leadership skills.
Collaborating with estimating and senior management on strategy and project pursuit.
Qualifications:
15+ years in project management with at least 10 years in heavy civil (earthwork, underground, paving, concrete).
Strong experience in public works and Caltrans projects.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Excellent leadership, mentoring, risk mitigation, communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
Proficiency in HCSS HeavyJob, PlanGrid, Smartsheet or similar, and Microsoft Office Suite.
QSP certification required.
Willingness to travel no more than 100 miles as needed.
