Job Description

Position: Freelance Senior Project Manager

Location: Hamburg (Hybrid)

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Duration: 12 Months (likely extension)

Rate: 100-120€/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all project phases: development, procurement, construction, and handover.
• Manage contractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring performance and compliance.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
• Support contract negotiation and administration (EPC, BoP, or O&M agreements).
• Ensure HSE, quality, and sustainability standards are upheld.
• Report regularly to senior stakeholders on project progress and risks.
• Coordinate with grid operators, regulators, and permitting authorities where needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ project management experience in renewable energy or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of EPC contracts, grid connection, and permitting processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certification (PMP, Prince2, or IPMA) .
• Fluent in English; German or other European skills are an advantage.
• Available for freelance / contract work with flexibility for site visits when required.
