Project Manager – Scenic Construction & Creative Build



Salary: £50,000 – £65,000

Location: South East London (Workshop-based)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Type: Full-time



Our client is a leading name in the scenic construction and creative production industry — known for delivering extraordinary experiences and turning ambitious concepts into buildable reality. Working across high-end retail, events, exhibitions, immersive environments and large-scale creative installations, they push the boundaries of craftsmanship, engineering and design.



They’re now looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team and help deliver complex, high-impact projects from concept through to completion.



The Role



As Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full project lifecycle — from early concept planning to fabrication, installation and final handover. You’ll balance creativity with practicality, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on budget, on time and to an exceptional standard.



Key Responsibilities



Manage projects independently from concept through to completion.



Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring expectations are managed and met.



Prepare budgets, costings, quotes and initial project schedules.



Oversee multiple projects at once, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved.



Coordinate closely with internal teams, including design, fabrication and workshop staff.



Produce or oversee detailed technical drawings for workshop manufacture.



Specify appropriate construction methods, techniques and materials.



Track progress, manage changes, and maintain accurate project documentation.



Communicate updates clearly to clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.



Carry out occasional off-site visits for client meetings and project reviews.



Required Skills & Experience



Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and fabrication processes.



Proven project management experience within a workshop, fabrication, scenic build or similar environment.



Confident building and managing client relationships.



Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability.



Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.



Clear and effective communicator, internally and externally.



A collaborative team player who’s happy to get hands-on when needed.



Adaptable, solutions-focused and comfortable working with evolving specifications.



Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.



Additional Information



Standard hours: 8:00am–5:00pm



Location: Workshop-based, (South East London)



Travel: Occasional travel to client sites
