Senior Project Manager Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our installation teams and deliver high-quality solar projects on time and within budget. As a key member of our project management team, you will oversee multiple construction sites, supervise installation personnel, and ensure that all projects meet our company's high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example in all areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee multiple construction sites and installation personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, LV electrical, MV electrical, surveyor, concrete, temporary labor, civil inspectors, and Miss Dig to ensure successful project execution
  • Ensure that all necessary materials are on hand to install in a productive manner and that employees are properly trained to safely install quality solar arrays
  • Document all accidents and file required reports
  • Assist in hiring and staffing employees as required to meet the needs of the installation schedule
  • Evaluate new job packets for cost savings and process improvements
  • Ensure that customer and internal quality standards are achieved on new jobs and maintain properly documented evidence
  • Promote and maintain good customer and supplier relationships
  • Work with Purchasing to order materials and supplies in a timely manner and maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Initiate continuous improvement methodology with installation team members
  • Serve as key contact person for any issues with customers or suppliers while on a jobsite
  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance requirements on company-owned equipment

Senior Project Manager Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in construction, installation, and quality systems
  • Experience with utility-scale projects (5 MW or higher) or behind-the-meter commercial/industrial projects
  • AC and DC electrical installation experience ()
  • NABCEP Certified Installation Professional
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management (required); Master's degree ()
  • Valid State Driver's License and ability to obtain CDL certification ()
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train, motivate, and evaluate departmental personnel
  • Basic understanding of and ability to operate job-related equipment
  • Proven record of continuous improvement in quality, productivity, safety, and housekeeping
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions and multi-tasking required
  • Ability to travel extensively (50% of the time) to support job sites and customers
  • Ability to work overnight (25% of the time) to support job sites and customers
  • Must be able to obtain MIOSHA 30 Certification (training assistance available)
