Senior Project Manager for a Major High-Rise Development
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

About the role:
A global consultancy is seeking a skilled and driven Senior Project Manager to join one of the most well-respected global construction consultancies, supporting a landmark high-rise commercial development worth over £150 million in the city.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day project management on behalf of the consultancy.
- Lead and coordinate all phases of the project, from feasibility and planning through to construction and final handover.
- Represent the consultancy as the key client interface, providing strategic direction and leadership.
- Oversee detailed project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Manage procurement strategy, tender processes, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with specifications, programme, and quality standards.
- Chair regular site and progress meetings with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Implement robust risk, issue, and change management processes.
- Ensure all works comply with statutory requirements, health & safety legislation, and sustainability targets.
- Track project finances, produce cost reports, and ensure budgetary control.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, managing expectations and ensuring transparent communication throughout.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality progress reports to senior management and the client.
- Anticipate potential challenges and implement proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.
Requirements:
- Proven track record on large-scale commercial or high-rise developments.
- Consultancy background with strong client-facing leadership skills.
- Expert knowledge of UK construction contracts, procurement, and regulatory frameworks.
- RICS, CIOB, or equivalent professional status .
