Position Summary:

The EPC Project Director is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, ensuring that all aspects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to client and company specifications. This role leads multidisciplinary teams and serves as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of assigned EPC projects from initial planning through commissioning and closeout.
  • Lead project execution in accordance with company standards, contract requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, work plans, and risk registers.
  • Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align activities and ensure resource availability.
  • Manage client relationships, including progress reporting, issue resolution, and change management.
  • Lead regular project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance through KPIs and metrics, adjusting plans and resources as needed to achieve targets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior leadership and clients.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to junior project managers and project engineers.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree ).
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, including experience leading EPC or large-scale industrial construction projects.
  • PMP, PE, or equivalent certification .

Technical Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of EPC project lifecycle, contract structures (EPC, EPCM, lump sum, cost-plus), and risk allocation.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Proficient in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Work Environment:

This role may involve a mix of office-based work and site visits. Extended hours and travel may be required depending on project demands.
