Senior Project Geologist / Senior Project Scientist / Senior Project Engineer

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. is looking to hire an organized full-time, Senior Project Environmental Geologist/Engineer/Scientist to oversee a wide variety of complex, environmental projects for our Roseville, California office. This senior project-level position earns a competitive salary depending on experience. This role will be instrumental in assisting with management of Broadbent's Central and Northern California operations with the opportunity of progressing to Division Manager in approximately five years. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SENIOR PROJECT GEOLOGIST / SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER / SENIOR PROJECT SCIENTIST

As a senior project-level professional, you are the driving force behind our business. Your hard work ensures that we deliver for our clients. Under the supervision of the Sacramento Division Manager, you will:

  • Prepare and review work plans, technical documents, and detailed reports for federal, state, and local agencies
  • Prepare and review new clientele proposals for federal, state, and private industry
  • Develop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects from our diverse portfolio and manage budgets
  • Conduct regular field visits to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate technical and health and safety procedures are being followed
  • Review and approve vendor work proposals and invoices
  • Assist with business development and company marketing efforts

Your people skills are essential as you interact regularly with clientele and regulatory agencies. Though you do spend a lot of time visiting job sites and interacting with people, you also complete various administrative responsibilities. Ensuring that clients are happy as well as that all jobs are delivered on-time, within scope, and on-budget .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, earth science, civil engineering, or environmental engineering.
  • Professional Registration/Certification (P.G or P.E.) or possessing a G.I.T / E.I.T and ability to attain the P.G. or P.E. within one year of hire
  • Five or more years of experience in the consulting industry conducting and managing geological assessments, water supply, water treatment, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, storm water management, wastewater treatment, permitting projects, or compliance projects in the public and private sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and experience interacting with governmental regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to properly manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring compliance with deliverable timelines
  • Ability to travel within the western regional US

  • Ability to work individually and as a team member

  • Ability to be insured under our commercial insurance carrier to drive company vehicles

WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION

This full-time project management position typically works Monday - Friday with some traveling, overnight and weekend work. May engage extended two-week or three-week projects regarding emergency response (voluntary).
