Role: Full-time Senior Project Engineer or Architect, with responsibilities consisting of:
- Management: Supervise Senior Project Managers, Project Managers
- Investigations. Supervise investigative surveys of roofing, glazing, and waterproofing components to identify deterioration and probable sources of water infiltration. Review reports generated by others, documenting observations and findings, with recommendations and cost estimates.
- Peer Reviews: Review drawings and specifications for new construction projects and provide comments as redline markups. Lead meetings with clients to discuss comments and provide follow-up documentation of action items to attendees.
- Design: Coordinate and lead the of building envelope related plans, elevations, and details for repair and replacement projects. Generate and review technical specifications in Microsoft Word.
- Bidding: Provide bid phase project assistance, leading or attending pre-bid meetings and of minutes for review and issue.
- Construction: Provide construction phase supervision, leading or attending pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, performing site visits and generating reports of observations for review by supervisor.
- Testing: Lead meetings with project teams to discuss expectations and results of field performance testing related to the building envelope. Supervise teams performing field testing.
- Education: Attend educational seminars and other professional development courses paid for by the company and as approved by your supervisor.
Experience: Applicants for this position should have the following qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam software
- Four (4) year bachelor's degree in an architectural, engineering, or construction related field
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA)
- Optional, but encouraged to also have at any of the Following Certifications:
- IIBEC Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) or Observer (RRO)
- IIBEC Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC) or Observer (REWO)
- IIBEC Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC) Or Observer (RWO)
- Minimum seven (7) years of building envelope consulting experience, including:
- Acting as primary point of contact performing peer reviews for new construction
- Comfortable in role as lead designer for roof replacements and window/wall repair projects
- Actively providing high quality construction phase project management services on both new construction and repair projects
Supplies and Training: We will provide all necessary PPE, equipment, and training as required for you to complete work assignments.
Compensation: This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) exempt, salaried position.
- Base Pay: Ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on candidate experience, certifications, and skills.
- Paid Time Off: The following eight (8) hour days of paid time off, for a total of thirty (30) days in each calendar year, are included:
- Holidays: Eight (8) days per year, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Christmas (2 days)
- Vacation/Personal Time: Twenty-two (22) days per year, 8 hours per day.
- Benefits: We offer employer-sponsored health coverage through the Blue Choice PPO Network (BlueCross BlueShield). For 2026, employee premiums for any of the three available coverage levels will be 100% paid by company. A group dental plan is also available for an additional cost.
- Bonuses: Annual bonuses are based on individual and company performance, up to a maximum of 30 percent of the Base Salary.
- Reimbursable Expenses: In addition to the benefits and base pay described above, we will reimburse the following work-related expenses:
- Tolls at cost
- Mileage - $0.70/mile (IRS published rate)
- Other Approved Expenses at cost
Location: Negotiable; encouraged to work from our Austin office a minimum of 3 days per week for the first six months. Subsequent transition to fully remote work arrangement dependent upon review with supervising principal.
