Senior Project Engineer (Environmental / DCO background) - Staff

Location: London

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Renewable Energy sector. Our client is looking for a Project Engineer with an environmental background to support the DCO stage of the project.

Responsibilities

Working Client-side role, responsible for managing the delivery of packages of work by the FEED contractor.

Will be responsible for supporting the DCO (Development Consent Order) part of the project.

Management of Environmental consultants to develop Environmental documentation.

Maintained oversight of agreements, criteria, and conditions outlined in the DCO, and collaborated with stakeholders, individual packages, and the Consent team to ensure technical compliance.

Support the Land Strategy Team in the Land Acquisition process.

Ensure environmental compliance as part of the application process.

Responsible for technical review of gaps in scope of work delivered by the FEED contractor.

Maintain and update the risk register, DCO consent register and other required trackers.

Review progress and cost reports from DCO consultants.

Maintain and further develop relationships with key stakeholders on projects.

Ensure that issues relating to HSE are effectively managed, in line with the clients' policies and procedures.

Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with clients and internal team.

Checking of project deliverables including drawings, schedules, datasheets, specifications.

Key Skills & Knowledge

Must be degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline, chartered status desired but not essential.

Process Engineering background preferable but not essential.

Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries.

Experience in other major energy such as Energy from Waste or similar will also be highly advantageous.

Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
