QualificationsAcademic:Minimum - Associates Degree in Information Systems or 2 years related experience - Bachelors in Information Systems or 5 years related experienceExperience:Minimum - 5 years related experience/ - 5 years’ experience with Azure Cloud/Microsoft 365. 5 years’ experience with WAN/LAN design/implementation.Other:  Physical requirements to meet job demand including the ability to lift up to 65 pounds, kneel, bend, squat, crawl and climb.  Valid Ohio driver’s license.
Position Purpose
Supports organizational operation, clinical and fiscal management by:

  1. Providing Project Engineering & Design with minimal guidance to maintain the integrity of the network and all corporate data
  2. Providing consistent access to the software systems on the network with the Network Administrator by maintaining the connections through the LAN/WAN
  3. Providing additional help desk support to users for computer software applications with the Support Specialist
  4. Providing additional hardware support of the various personal computers and printers throughout the agency with the Support Specialist
  5. Improving access to computers by monitoring open positions and working with Manager of IT to assign computers/thin client equipment that meets the needs of each position
  6. Managing equipment and licenses to meet all compliance requirements
  7. Providing management and support for networks at associated agencies under IS management agreements.
  8. As needed, work with Support Supervisor and Support Specialist to coordinate on-site user support to provide optimal response to user support needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. With the Network Administrator, ensure proper access to the agency networks in all localities where Corporation has a program by:
    1. Adding, modifying and removing user accounts
    2. Adding, modifying and removing printer queues
    3. Monitoring the proper functioning of the WAN communication lines and call for service when there is a malfunction
    4. Monitoring the system security to insure that corporate data is secure from inappropriate access
    5. Monitoring the daily operating procedures to insure that the corporate data is properly backed up
    6. Ensuring information retention and integrity by performing incremental and complete system backup procedures on a regularly scheduled basis.
  2. With the Network Administrator, ensure proper access to the core computer systems in all localities where Corporation has a program by:
    1. Adding, modifying and removing user accounts
    2. Monitoring clinical application security to insure the data is secure from inappropriate access
  3. As needed, act as a backup for the Support Specialist to ensure continuity of computer services to staff in all localities where Corporation has a program by:
    1. Providing assistance by phone to end-users who are having trouble with computer software systems to provide smooth operation of the end-user functions
    2. Providing on-site assistance to end-users who are having trouble with computer software systems to provide smooth operation of the end-user functions
    3. Providing technical and operational support by phone to users of agency computers to assure effective use of computer resources
    4. Providing technical and operational support on-site to users of agency computers to assure effective use of computer resources
  4. Ensure computer systems are available to staff to enable staff in all localities where Corporation has a program to accomplish their tasks using agency computer software by:
    1. Setting up, installing, moving and repairing existing computer hardware to assure the effectiveness of the operation of the computer hardware systems
    2. Setting up, testing and installing new computer hardware to assure new user needs for computer support are met
    3. With Manager of IS, review technical needs for positions and assign appropriate computer resources to meet those needs
  5. Ensure corporation is meeting all licensing compliance requirements by:
    1. Review software installations and matching licenses to installations
    2. Documenting software installations and licenses by computer or system
    3. Review operating system installations and matching licenses to installations
    4. Documenting operating system installations and licenses by computer or system
  6. Ensure networks at associated agencies are functioning correctly by:
    1. Setting up networks and computers as needed to meet any IS support needs at associated agencies
    2. Adding, modifying and removing user accounts from networks at associated agencies
    3. Adding, modifying and removing user accounts from software installed at associated agencies, according to licensing or use requirements
  7. Perform various related duties and follow any additional instructions requested by my supervisor.
