We value teamwork, humility, respect, ownership, adaptability, grit and fun.You can learn more about us at We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Senior Project Engineering Specialist.Position Summary/Objective:  As a Senior Project Engineering Specialist, you enhance the company’s performance by: Designing and implementing new manufacturing and packaging processes in accordance to GMPInitiating and executing capacity expansion projectsProviding subject matter expertise in new equipment introduction and project managementReducing manufacturing costs through automation and continuous improvementIncreasing the OEE of existing processes Demonstrating stakeholder and contractor management Establishing ways of working to execute innovations right first timeProviding coaching and mentoring to team members and colleaguesPrimary Responsibilities:Demonstrate and uphold Riverside’s Core ValuesLead project origination, evaluation, vendor selection and negotiation activities through to commissioning Project management in developing and executing project justification, risk analysis, cost estimates, budget management, timelines, scope management, and ROI. Scope and develop comprehensive capital budget in a formal project investment proposalPrepare User Requirement Specifications (URS) for new equipment and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), installation, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)Generate technical bid packages for contractors prior to project execution Design equipment/plant layout in conjunction with stakeholders with safety, ergonomics, efficiency and material/people flow in mind. Manage contractors and stakeholders through effective communication and ways of workingEstablish and execute handover processes to ensure innovations are executed right first timeCollaborate with all departments to identify opportunities and execute efficientlyDemonstrates OWNERSHIP by originating and implementing continuous improvement projects with a sense of urgency Pursue learning opportunities that will assist the company in launching new products and deploying new technologiesKeeps the work atmosphere FUN by keeping it light and welcomingOther related duties as assignedReporting RelationshipsThis position reports directly to the Engineering ManagerNo direct reportsKey Objectives Project return on investmentCommissioning cycle timeExecute new innovations right first timeImpact of automation and continuous improvement projects completedEducation & Qualifications Minimum 8 years experience in capital project management in the CPG industry (Food Manufacturing preferred)Passion for the food industry and the field of engineeringExperience working with cross-functional teams to meet project deliverablesExperience working in a plant manufacturing environmentUndergraduate degree in Engineering, PEng an assetProficient in AutoCAD and MS OfficeTEAM player with a positive attitudePASSIONATE with a positive attitude with a desire to learn and collaborateExceptional time management and organizational skills, self-starter with a high level of initiative and ADAPTABILITYDemonstrates HUMILITY throughout the company on a daily basis Aptitude to exhibit, RESPECT and protect Riverside’s Core Values in a changing environmentHow to Apply:If you have the commitment to excellence, the energy, the attitude and experience we need, then please submit your resume to careers(AT) with the subject line Senior Project Engineering Specialist or click the apply button!Riverside Natural Foods is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone.
