Senior Project Manager – BESS Development (Germany)

Location: Munich (flexible / hybrid)

: Fluent German & English

My client is seeking a strategic Senior Project Manager / Project Developer to take ownership of the late-stage development of large-scale BESS projects across Germany. This is a pivotal role driving projects through financial close, managing bank financing, leading contract negotiations, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver commercially and technically successful assets.

You’ll join a fast-growing scale-up in the BESS sector with strong financial backing and a proven track record of project success. The company operates from Munich and offers a highly competitive salary, performance bonus, and long-term incentive opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead projects through the late-development phase to financial close.

Manage due diligence, permitting, grid connection, and financing processes.

Negotiate key commercial contracts.

Coordinate internal and external stakeholders across technical, legal, and financial streams.

Represent the company with lenders, partners, and regulatory bodies.

Profile:

Proven experience delivering renewable or storage projects to financial close in Germany.

Strong understanding of project finance, grid regulations, and permitting.

Skilled negotiator with a structured, results-driven approach.
