About the Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity to provide strategic and technical oversight of with-profits funds and investment risks. The role ensures robust governance and fair outcomes for policyholders, while influencing risk culture and decision-making across the organisation.
You will work closely with With-Profits Actuaries and other key stakeholders, offering Line 2 opinions, challenge, and guidance on financial risks to customers and shareholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead oversight of with-profits funds, ensuring customer and financial risks are well understood and managed
- Provide Line 2 opinions on key proposals and material changes
- Support oversight of financial risks across pensions, savings, and customer investments
- Offer thought leadership on emerging risks, including ESG
- Ensure decisions align with risk appetite and strategic objectives
- Maintain effective risk frameworks, reporting, and governance
- Collaborate with stakeholders including With-Profits Actuaries, Compliance, and governance committees
Essential Experience & Skills
- Strong background in with-profits management and/or risk oversight
- In-depth understanding of with-profits products, regulations, and governance
- Experience in investment strategy, ALM, and financial risk management
- Proven ability to influence and challenge across a complex organisation
- Familiarity with Consumer Duty and value-for-money principles
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
