Senior Product Engineer - Automotive NPI & Product Development\n Location: Kettering & Coventry (Multi-Site Role)\n Industry: Automotive | Tier 1 Supplier\n Type: Full-Time | Permanent\n\nA well-established automotive supplier is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead the design, development, and launch of new products from concept through to post-launch support. This is a high-impact role working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver innovative interior trim solutions.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead product development activities from concept to Job 1+90.\nOwn the design, tooling, validation, and launch of new products.\nCreate and manage BOMs, PBOMs, BOTs, and customer asset registers.\nDrive engineering change processes (PCRs) and support gateway reviews.\nOversee product validation, APQP, and PPAP deliverables.\nConduct feasibility assessments for design, tooling, and manufacturing.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and customers on-site and remotely.\nSupport RFQs, 8D problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\nDegree in Engineering or equivalent experience.\n7+ years in automotive product design and development.\nStrong experience with OEM/Tier 1/Tier 2 customer and supplier engagement.\nProven track record in delivering projects under tight deadlines.\nProficiency in CATIA for CAD interrogation and sectioning.\nSolid understanding of NPI, APQP, FMEA, DVP&R, and manufacturing processes.\nExpertise in interior trim, injection moulding tooling, and mechanical design.\n\nTraits for Success:\n\nSelf-driven with the ability to work independently and set personal goals.\nCollaborative mindset with strong leadership and communication skills.\nCapable of influencing change and motivating cross-functional teams.\nComfortable managing technical discussions and presenting updates.\n\nAdditional Info:\n\nPrimary site is Kettering, with regular travel to Coventry and customer/supplier locations.\nStrong visibility and presence across engineering and programme teams.\nInvolvement in departmental KPIs including timeline adherence, BOM accuracy, and customer approvals
