Senior Procurement Manager
Job Description
A extremely reputable and rapidly growing EPC organization is seeking to hire a Senior Procurement Manager to direct procurement, supply chain, purchasing, and subcontractor management activities across its operations. Reporting to the President, this position will be responsible for procurement strategy and execution, company expenditures, and supplier/vendor relationships while driving best practices in materials management, contract negotiations, and cost savings initiatives. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of company-wide procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- Oversee purchasing, materials, supply chain, subcontractor management, and inventory activities to meet company requirements for quality, availability, volume, and cost.
- Negotiate and manage procurement contracts, analyze complex bids, and select subcontractors through a structured bidding process.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and implement dual-source and risk-mitigation strategies across suppliers.
- Partner with Project Management, Engineering, and Accounting to support on-time delivery, accurate cost tracking, and adherence to budgets.
- Establish procurement policies, training programs, and best practices while mentoring departmental personnel.
- Ensure accurate materials tracking, optimal inventory levels, and effective use of internal software tools.
- Serve as technical liaison with vendors and industry representatives; represent the organization as a professional ambassador to industry forums and events.
- Manage departmental budgets, capital expenditures, and provide support for estimating and construction cost comparisons.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field required; Master’s degree .
- Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or materials management, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts, managing vendors, and achieving measurable cost savings.
- Strong technical aptitude to evaluate procurement options and compare bids effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software systems.
