Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the role of Procurement Manager. This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000, dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The role is structured as a two-year fixed-term contract, managed through Huntress, and offers a flexible work arrangement, including the option for remote work, with occasional travel required to our clients corporate headquarters in Crawley, West Sussex. Role Responsibilities:

The Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organisation's procurement strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders. This role hinges on the candidate's ability to cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to advocate for the advantages of adopting best practices in procurement. It is crucial to the company's success as it involves not only establishing a robust procurement function but also instituting best practices across various spending categories. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for identifying cost-effective solutions, engaging value-added suppliers, and optimising procurement terms, all while maintaining a balance between quality and service. The successful candidate will directly contribute to the daily operations and long-term business objectives.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in procurement or a related role, capable of establishing and integrating a procurement function within an organisation. Candidates should ideally hold an MCIPS qualification or be actively working toward obtaining one. Proficiency in strategic and tactical procurement, as well as supply chain management, is essential. Analytical skills for data collection and analysis are crucial, along with exceptional stakeholder management capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proactive and forward-thinking mindset, demonstrating strong skills in negotiation, influence, and both written and verbal communication. Attention to detail is a must, paired with a strategic orientation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is expected, and adaptability to learn new computer systems is highly valued.
