Senior Process Engineer - Production Optimisation and Field Development

Working Location: London (Hybrid - minimum 3 days office based)

About the Role

If you are a Process Engineer who enjoys solving operational challenges and supporting upstream development projects from concept through to execution, this opportunity offers the chance to work across technically interesting oil and gas projects.

This role focuses on production optimisation, facility improvement, and development studies, supporting projects through conceptual design, FEED, and detailed engineering phases.

The role will also involve quarterly overseas assignments supporting operational assets and project activities. All travel and accommodation costs are covered.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting upstream development and optimisation projects
• Evaluating process and production improvement opportunities
• Delivering process engineering activities from concept through to implementation
• Producing and reviewing technical process deliverables and documentation
• Supporting vendor package reviews and contractor deliverables
• Working closely with operations teams to improve facility performance
• Supporting debottlenecking and facility optimisation activities
• Contributing to project planning, scheduling, and reporting activities
• Presenting technical recommendations and engineering findings to stakeholders

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in upstream oil and gas process engineering
• Experience supporting production optimisation or brownfield projects
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas processing systems and operational facilities
• Experience across conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design phases
• Strong process simulation capability (for example, using widely adopted industry tools)
• Comfortable working independently and leading technical scopes
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability
• Knowledge of international engineering standards and engineering best practice
• Willingness to travel internationally on a quarterly basis
• Ability to pass offshore and overseas medical requirements
