Senior Process Engineer

Hydrasun is a recognised market leader in the provision of integrated fluid transfer, power and control solutions. We are focused on supporting the energy transition through our work in the oil and gas, renewable energy, general industrial and marine industries worldwide.

We are recruiting for an experienced Process Engineers to develop and execute Hydrogen and Clean Energy projects with a focus on design, build, installation and commissioning of mechanical, instrumentation and electrical packages.

Hydrogen engineering capability is an integral strategic initiative within the Hydrasun business and this role will focus primarily on the management of Hydrogen projects from project development through concept selection, engineering, tendering, construction and commissioning. In parallel to Hydrogen this role will also oversee the engineering management of Hydraulic and Instrumentation engineered projects already carried out within the Hydrasun portfolio.

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Competencies

* Degree qualified BSc or BEng in Engineering (or equivalent)

* Experienced Process & Systems Engineer (at a Senior/lead/principal level - NOTE this is Essential)

* Experienced in an engineering environment with design experience in a relevant area

* Experience in the following areas:- H2 technology, product engineering, capital project engineering, project development engineering and Cl capabilities

* Expereinced in the use of Microsoft Office

* Excellent HSE & QA awareness

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to maintain a professional and focused approach at all times, in particular, in customer facing situations

* Keen and effective attention to detail.

Desirable Experience, Qualifications and Competencies

* Chartered Engineer or working towards or Chartered Status

* Experience in Project management would be advantageous

* Business development experience

* Design of control panels

* Design of small-bore tubing systems

* Product and process development

* Fabrication/welding design/codes and standards

* Active participation in engineering reviews and/or investigations with customer

* Knowledge of UK & EU regulatory frameworks, type approval, written schemes of examination and/or certification, considering Machinery Directive, ADR, TPED,PED,PSSR,PERl ATEX, DSEAR & EPS and COMAH

* Experience of Risk based design and functional safety methodologies including: FMEA, HAZID, HAZOP, HAZAN, LOPA Mathcad and FEA programmes experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Development of strategic engineering concepts and solutions in relation to the Hydrogen and Clean Energy market.

* Implementation of product development programs, technical and economic evaluations, cost and schedule improvements, work process improvements and bid/project team support through engineered solutions to meet customer/market requirements.

* Work with the entire engineering team to deliver concept and design projects that provide safe, economic, engineered solutions to our customers, in compliance with all relevant codes and/or standards.

* Development of bespoke engineered solutions to meet customer requirements in line with or exceeding their needs.

* Develop and implement company engineering operational goals for product and service development within defined business objectives.

* Provide engineering support, advice and assistance to all divisions within the company.

* Communicate and coordinate with all company stakeholders (customer, inhouse manufacture, sales etc) to ensure their needs and expectations are met.

* Ensure the management and implementation of the required engineering standards across the business.
