Senior/Principal Flood Risk Consultant
Full-time * Hybrid * London, UK * Up to £75k + Equity * Flexible Hours

An AI startup founded by flood risk engineers and AI researchers, on a mission to transform how flood risk is managed in the UK. They're pioneering the use of artificial intelligence to revolutionise planning and engineering, helping unlock sustainable development and economic growth.
Working with Lead Local Flood Authorities to build advanced tools that streamline planning reviews, and developing an AI platform that delivers high-quality, site-specific Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) for developers and planners.

The Role
The successful candidate will be a digitally minded Senior or Principal Flood Risk Consultant to lead the next evolution of flood risk management. You'll help shape the company's products and services, working closely with founders to refine outputs, review assessments, and provide expert consultancy to clients.
You'll play a key role in integrating professional insight into our AI tools-delivering faster, more consistent, and high-quality solutions that protect communities and enable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve Flood Risk Assessments

  • Operate and provide feedback on AI platform
  • \n

  • Advise clients, consultants, and regulators
  • \n

  • Shape their flood risk product offering
  • \n

Requirements

\n

    \n
  • Chartered CIWEM or CEng (MICE) status (or equivalent)
  • \n

  • 6+ years' experience in FRA, drainage, and SuDS in England
  • \n

  • Hydraulic modelling experience an advantage (e.g. Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, InfoDrainage)
  • \n

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • \n

  • Interest in AI-driven innovation
  • \n
