Senior Power Platform & SharePoint Engineer

Position Summary

In this role, you will collaborate with federal agency clients to design, develop, and maintain innovative business solutions using SharePoint Online, Power Apps (Canvas), Power Automate, and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Your expertise—especially within VA/VHA environments—will be instrumental in enhancing content and document management, strengthening governance frameworks, and optimizing the user experience

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

SharePoint Development & Design

Develop, customize, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, pages, document libraries, lists, and content types

Architect information architecture and metadata strategies for scalable, secure document management

Permission & Security Management

Design and implement SharePoint permission structures and access-control models

Ensure compliance with VA/VHA data-security policies and best practices for governance

Power Apps

Lead end-to-end Canvas Power Apps development, including component-driven design

Build complex business logic, custom connectors, and reusable component libraries

Optimize applications for performance, usability, and maintainability

Power Automate & Workflow Automation

Automate business processes with advanced flows, approvals, and robust error-handling patterns

Integrate Power Automate with SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and third-party APIs

Power BI Reporting & Analytics

Develop interactive dashboards and paginated reports using Power BI

Implement data modeling, DAX measures, and row-level security for actionable insights

Microsoft Lists & Data Solutions

Create structured data solutions with Microsoft Lists, list formatting, and custom rules

Integrate Lists with Power Apps and Power Automate to deliver end-to-end solutions

Stakeholder Collaboration & Training

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs

Develop and deliver user training, documentation, and ongoing support for solutions

Continuous Improvement

Stay current with SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 innovations

Recommend and implement best practices to enhance governance, performance, and user adoption

Minimum Qualifications

Must have Public Trust clearance

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field

5+ years of SharePoint Online development, administration, and governance

5+ years of hands-on Canvas Power Apps development

5+ years building complex Power Automate flows and custom connectors

Proficiency with Power BI, Microsoft Lists, and Dataverse

Strong mastery of PowerFX and Canvas Apps

Advanced knowledge of SharePoint permissions, security trimming, and compliance policies

Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

Experience leading workshops, requirements sessions, and end-user training

U.S. citizenship with indefinite work authorization and Public Trust

Qualifications

Master’s degree in a relevant field

Microsoft certifications such as PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, MS-300, or MS-301

Experience leading enterprise-level SharePoint migration and modernization projects

1+ year of direct VA/VHA experience within a Government Community Cloud (GCC) environment

Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000 per year

This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of specific compensation or salary.
