Role Overview

They are seeking a full-time, remote Senior/Staff Platform Software Engineer. This position focuses on designing and building backend SaaS systems, including object-oriented services, distributed architectures, and robust data models. The engineer will own the full software development lifecycle and ensure features are built to meet business and product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance, low-latency systems supporting core business workflows

• Design, implement, test, and maintain foundational platform components

• Own development of new features end-to-end

• Diagnose and resolve production issues

• Participate in architectural discussions, design sessions, and code reviews

• Work collaboratively with customer-facing teams to address issues and surface new product ideas

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product engineering

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline

• Strong background in distributed systems and high-volume data pipelines

• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin or Java

• Hands-on experience with Kafka and Spring Boot

• Excellent analytical, debugging, and system design skills

• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies

• Experience with AWS infrastructure

• Strong communication and leadership abilities

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices is a plus
