Senior Planner - Perm or Contract (Outside IR35)

Job Description

Leading engineering contractor who operates in the energy, highways, and rail sectors, is currently seeking a Senior Planner to join their team in the Midlands.\n\nThis role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with significant experience working with tier 1 or tier 2 contractors . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of various infrastructure projects and has the potential to develop into a Planning Manager position as new contracts are awarded.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPreparing cost and resource loaded programmes covering the complete scope of works as per contract\nCreating and maintaining a robust, logically linked, cost and resource loaded programme\nMaintaining client expectations from a programme point of view\nEnsuring the team provides comprehensive programme updates and reviewing work before submission\nUpdating project programmes on a weekly basis where applicable\nPreparing and submitting weekly site progress photo reports where applicable\nCarrying out regular programme reviews and ensuring contractual obligations are met\nConducting impact assessments and presenting delay programmes, cause and effect programmes\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in project planning within the energy, highways, or rail sectors\nProficiency in preparing cost and resource loaded programmes\nStrong understanding of maintaining client expectations and communicating effectively\nAbility to carry out delay analysis and forensic planning\nFamiliarity with issuing earned value analysis, SPI, CPIs, and implementing robust project controls\nExperience in supporting and leading planning initiatives\nExcellent communication skills to collate and present programme information at all levels\nAbility to resolve cross-functional issues at the planning level\n\nBenefits:\n\nOpportunity to develop into a Planning Manager position\nChance to work on high-profile infrastructure projects\nSupportive and collaborative work environment\nProfessional development and training opportunities\nComprehensive employee benefits package\nIf you are an experienced Senior Planner with a background in infrastructure projects and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
