Manage end-to-end planning and scheduling for Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) operations on new build data centers. You will lead critical path analysis, develop integrated baselines, and coordinate specialist vendor activities from pre-construction through to Integrated System Testing (IST) and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Development: Create and maintain detailed, resource-loaded MEP construction and commissioning programs using Primavera P6 and ASTA Powerproject.
- Sequence Oversight: Manage highly complex sequencing, including heavy plant placement, High-Voltage (HV) substations, UPS systems, generator installations, and cooling/chiller networks.
- Risk & Delay Analysis: Identify schedule bottlenecks early, run "what-if" scenarios, and support commercial teams with delay analysis and compensation events (NEC/JCT).
- Site Validation: Conduct regular site "walks" to independently verify progress against baseline data rather than solely relying on site team reports.
- Stakeholder Management: Host planning workshops and liaise directly with clients, main contractors, and specialist subcontractors.
Essential Requirements
- Sector Expertise: Proven track record in MEP planning on hyperscale or multi-megawatt new build data center projects.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced user of Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of construction contracts (NEC/JCT) and delay analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
