Senior Planner needed in Exeter \n\nBlue Water Recruitment are working with an established Construction company, looking for an experienced Planner to join their team.\n\nDuties:\n\n * Working as part of project team, but with dual role as independent assessor of progress.\n\n * Capture of output rates to ensure company database remains current and competitive.\n\n * Liaison with broader planning community.\n\n * Agree with Project Team the level of planning service and anticipated time allocation.\n\n * Establish a Contract Programme.\n\n * Hands-on planning preparing, in conjunction with production team, optimum working programme to meet project objectives covering design, procurement, enabling, construction, commissioning, handover, client key dates.\n\n * Contributing to the capturing of project risks and proposing mitigating actions.\n\n * Communicating within production teams to ensure they are aware of their roles in meeting the programme.\n\n * Meeting/ communicating with supply chain specialists to confirm suitable method and programme for scope given project specific constraints.\n\n * Monitoring and reporting progress against programmes, suggesting mitigation actions.\n\n * Summarise project status upstream to senior management, highlighting any unresolved major risks and potential overruns.\n\n * Manage time and workload to ensure deadlines are met. Highlight any potential work overload to Line Manager.\n\nAbout you:\n\n * Significant experience of construction projects across a broad range of sectors.\n\n * Ability to manage multiple project programmes running in parallel.\n\n * Demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of development; design, procurement, construction (structure, architecture, services), commissioning.\n\n * Excellent communication skills; ability to quickly and clearly articulate key issues and to listen and capture concerns of others.\n\n * Use of specialist planning software (ideally Asta).\n\n * Detailed knowledge of the key features of common forms of contract entered into in UK
